CSR's Role at Hulic
Approach to the environment
We understand that society's long term progress depends both on economic growth and environmental protection. Our business recognizes the importance of acting in an environmentally-friendly manner. With regards to the office buildings, homes, and apartments with which we are affiliated:
- We operate in compliance with environmental laws and regulations
- We reduce the impact of our buildings on the environment by installing energy-saving appliances and promoting upgrades in accordance with the Rationalization in Energy Use Law.
- We're taking active steps, such as the installing of Non-CFC refrigerators, to reduce toxic substances.
- We plan and promote the planting of rooftop gardens, and we’re involved in various environmental campaigns.
In March 2010, Hulic declared a medium to long term target in CO2 reduction plan as follows.
Based on numbers of reconstruction to be more energy efficient, Hulic plans to reduce 25% of CO2 emission by 2020 in comparison to 1990 in estimation.
- The plan was certified by Japan Smart Energy Co., Ltd. and reviewed by committee composed of external experts.

Initiatives being taken by our CSR Committee
Our CSR Committee considers a wide range of issues, including how to deal with environmental problems and finding ways to contribute to the local community.

Recognizing the importance of protecting personal information and in order to further strengthen people's confidence in our insurance agency, we abide by the Private Information Protection Law and all other laws and regulations concerning the protection of personal information.
Solicitation Policy
We solicit business by appropriate means as set forth in the Law on Sales of Financial Products.
