Hulic’s History of Growth and Achievements

Our company was established with a capital of JPY30 million and was initially registered as Nihonbashi Kogyo Co., Ltd.
In January 2007, marking our 50th anniversary, we changed our name to Hulic Co., Ltd. and have been leveraging our assets and pursuing new business opportunities.

  • 1957

    Established Nihonbashi Kogyo Co., Ltd.
    Started property management for the former Fuji Bank (now Mizuho Bank) branch buildings and insurance agency business
    Capital: JPY30 million

  • 2007

    Changed corporate name to Hulic Co., Ltd.

  • 2008

    Listed shares on the First Section of
    the Tokyo Stock Exchange
    Capital: JPY3,879 million

  • 2010
    • Spun off insurance agency business as Hulic Insurance Service Co., Ltd.
    • Merged with two real estate leasing companies
      (Senshu Shoji Co., Ltd. and Fuyo General Development and Finance Co., Ltd.)
  • 2011
    • Completed Hulic Ginza Sukiyabashi Building
    • Established Hulic Hotel Management Co., Ltd.
      Full-scale entry into tourism-related business
  • 2012
    • Merged with Shoei Co., Ltd.
    • The 1st of THE GATE HOTEL Series
    • Opened THE GATE HOTEL KAMINARIMON by HULIC*
      *Property owned by Hulic REIT, Inc.
    • In line with issuance of new shares:
      Capital: JPY21,951 million
  • 2013
    • Established Hulic Reit Management Co., Ltd.
      Full-scale entry into J-REIT business
      (real estate investment business)
  • 2014
    • Completed Hulic Shinjuku Building
  • 2015
    • In line with issuance of new shares: Capital: JPY62,617 million
    • Merged with Simplex Investment Advisors Inc.
  • 2016
    • Established Hulic Private Reit Management Co., Ltd.
      (Now Hulic Real Estate Investment Advisors Co., Ltd.)
  • 2017
    • Completed HULIC &New SHIBUYA
      The 1st of ”HULIC &New” Series, medium-sized urban-style commercial buildings
    • Established Hulic Property Solutions Co., Ltd.
    • Made Hulic Agri Co., Ltd. a subsidiary
  • 2018
    • Started special sponsorship of the Hulic Cup Kisei Championships
    • Made HULIC FUFU Co., Ltd. a subsidiary
    • Completed HULIC SQUARE TOKYO (THE GATE HOTEL TOKYO by HULIC)
  • 2019
    • Began sponsorship of the Seirei Championships for women

    Made Nippon View Hotel CO., LTD., a subsidiary
    (Absorbed and merged by Hulic Hotel Management Co., Ltd. (subsidiary))

  • 2020
    • Opened RISSEI GARDEN HULIC KYOTO
    • Established the Hulic Cup Hakurei Championships and women’s rank-deciding competition
    • Issued Japan’s first sustainability-linked bonds
    • Opened Hulic Ryogoku River Center
    Started new businesses
    (children's education and flexible office, etc.)
  • 2021
    • Completed Japan's first 12-story wooden fireproof commercial building “HULIC &New GINZA 8”
    • In line with issuance of new shares: Capital: JPY111,609 million
  • 2022
    • Transitioned to Prime Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange
    Long-term Issuer Rating upgraded to AA-
    (by JCR)
    • Completed HULIC SQUARE SAPPORO I
  • 2023
    Achieved RE100 with in-house developed, owned and supplying non-Fit power sources
    • Made CROSSCOOP Co., Ltd. a subsidiary (Now HULIC Biz Frontier Co., Ltd.)
    • Opened FUFU Karuizawa and FUFU Kyu-Karuizawa
  • 2024
    • Made Riso Kyoiku Co., Ltd. a subsidiary
    • Made Raysum Co., Ltd. a subsidiary
    • Completed Hulic Shogi-Kaikan Sendagaya Building
