In addition to the development of renewable energy power sources such as solar power,
we will promote investment in solar power systems with storage batteries, as well as grid storage batteries,
which balance supply and demand of renewable energy.
Medium- to Long-Term Strategies
- We are investing in solar power, small hydroelectric power, and wind power projects to expand external electricity sales in the retail electricity business.
We also plan to invest JPY100 billion in grid storage batteries over the next 10 years through 2034.
Development and Investment in Renewable Power Plants

◆Progress of the Initiative
(As of the end of December, 2024)
81 solar power plants,
annual power generation 104.5Gwh
3 small hydroelectric plants,
annual power generation 2.5Gwh
1 wind power plant,
annual power generation 23.9Gwh
Investment in Grid-Scale Battery Storage
Grid-scale battery storages store surplus electricity and release it during periods of high electricity demand to balance supply and demand of power.
Since power generation from renewable power plants is affected by weather conditions, the adjustment function of grid-scale batteries enables a stable supply of electricity.
